This Biography documentary focuses on Franklin D. Roosevelt during his decade-long battle with polio and his quest to return to political prominence. One of the brightest stars in American politics when he was stricken with the crippling disease, FDR forced his rehabilitation to run in the New York gubernatorial race, despite a rival who claimed Roosevelt would be "dead within the year," which only fueled FDR's determination. The documentary includes footage from the 1932 Democratic nomination speech that re-established his place in the party.
