|
George Clooney won an Academy Award in 2006 for his role as a CIA operative who uncovers all sorts of Machiavellian malevolence spread among oil company executives, Arab sheiks, Islamic terrorists, and American political leaders. Clooney's character's story is just one of four narratives unspooled in director Stephen Gaghan's Oscar-nominated script. All of the stories, revolving around the global corruption engendered by oil, are related and come together with devastating effect at film's end.
